Privacy at Woofians
This page describes the data practices currently supported by Woofians. It is written for clarity and should be reviewed with the service's legal and operational details before a wider launch.

What we store
Account identity is handled by our sign-in provider. When you save a place, submit a correction, claim a business profile or publish a community post, we store the details you provide, the account reference needed to operate the workflow, its status and timestamps. Public listings may include business details, approximate map information and links.
How we use information
We use information to provide search, maps, saved places, moderation, safety responses, account support and directory freshness. We do not use private profile details as public map content, and we do not expose a member's exact home location.
Shared content and providers
Articles and videos remain on their original sites. We store titles, links, excerpts and a few details so people can find the advice again; we do not rehost creator videos. Account, database, email, hosting and analytics providers may process data only as needed for the service and under their own published terms.
Retention and choices
We keep records for as long as they are needed to provide the service, maintain moderation history, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations or protect people and animals. Retention periods should be confirmed as the operational policy is finalized. You can ask us to access, correct or remove personal information, subject to legal and safety exceptions.
Public community content
Posts, comments, reports and place contributions may be visible to other people when published. Do not include private addresses, medical records, passwords or another person's personal information. We may limit, remove or preserve content when needed for safety, moderation or legal requests.
Cookies and local storage
Woofians uses essential session technology when accounts are enabled. The language preference is stored in a cookie. Anonymous saved places stay in your browser; when you sign in, published place saves are merged into your account. We also record limited product events such as searches, zero-result searches, saves and submissions to improve the directory without storing message contents.
