- The council's Styx Mill page says dogs are prohibited in most of the reserve to protect wildlife, but may be off-leash under effective control in the fenced dog park, open 7am–9pm during daylight saving and 7am–7pm the rest of the year. Under the council's current dog rules a person may walk at most four dogs at once, with only two off-leash at a time in off-leash areas including dog parks, and dogs must be leashed on paths in green spaces.
