- The council says Halswell Quarry Park has a dog exercise area that is not clearly marked, and that dogs must be leashed in the rest of the park; it has consulted on a larger fenced dog exercise area. Under the council's current dog rules a person may walk at most four dogs at once, with only two off-leash at a time in off-leash areas including dog parks, and dogs must be leashed on paths in green spaces.
